Oshkosh, WI News by a student Day 14

A new Ordinance was brought before the Common Council this past week.

It would allow the City Manager of Oshkosh to appoint temporary heads of a department if a successor was not found immediately. It clears up the language that had already proposed the idea without letting any one person be specified as the person to do it.

The the language describing the Parking Utility Commission’s abilities has been updated to reflect the fact that the commission does not control parking lots, or how much a parking fine will be.

For most of the other departments, the language was changed to reflect the current times.

The plan is that the new ordinance will be adopted on February 28th.
